Jenny is a nationally recognized registered dietitian, recipe developer, content creator, and seafood blogger, who loves to create nourishing New England-inspired dishes (lots of seafood!) in her kitchen. Jenny is the founder of JennySheaRawn.com, which features local seafood recipes, coastal living, inspiration, and all things Cape and Islands. Jenny’s first cookbook, Coastal Kitchen, Nourishing Seafood Recipes for Everyday Cooking, was released in July 2023 with Globe Pequot Press.
Rawn has been featured in hundreds of local and national media outlets including the Boston Globe, Fox 25 News, the Boston Herald, FoodNetwork.com, The Chef’s Kitchen, Cape and the Islands Magazine, NESN, NECN, WEEI, Women’s Health, Shape, Progressive Grocer, the Cape Cod Times and many more.
Before starting her own business in 2014, Rawn spent almost a decade as a registered dietitian and nutrition expert at SUPERVALU where she covered the supermarket chains of SHAW’S and STAR MARKET, FARM FRESH, SHOPPERS and ACME Markets. Rawn served as the health and wellness spokesperson, with regular features and interviews with national and local media outlets. She also led consumer-facing nutrition and wellness strategy and programming, covering over 500 retail stores. After SUPERVALU, Rawn spent a few years as Director and Nutrition Expert at Weber Shandwick, a global communications firm in Boston, where she managed food accounts and provided nutrition communications counsel for consumer packaged goods companies.
Jenny holds a BA in psychology from Boston University, a MS in Nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and a Masters in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine. Jenny is a Registered Dietitian and completed her Dietetic Internship through Simmons College.
