We love a good salmon sandwich! However, this spiced-salmon fillet is also good on its own, over some seasoned rice, or in a bowl. Feel free to personalize this recipe, experiment with the flavors to make it your own.
2-4 oz. salmon fillets (thawed) | |
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder | |
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper | |
1/2 tsp. salt | |
1 tbsp. canola oil | |
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt | |
1 tbsp. lemon juice | |
1 tbsp. fresh chopped dill (or 1 tsp. dried) | |
2 whole grain buns | |
1/2 cup arugula |

1. | Preheat oven to 425 degrees, and while this is heating, add spices to salmon fillet. |
2. | Place an oven-safe pan on the stove over high heat. Once the pan is warm, add oil and let that warm for a couple minutes. Add salmon and sear for 1-2 min on each side. |
3. | Put the pan in the pre-heated oven (make sure your pan is oven-safe or use a sheet pan). Bake for 8-10 minutes. |
4. | Meanwhile make your dill yogurt sauce by mixing the greek yogurt, lemon juice and chopped dill in a blender (or whisk well by hand). |
5. | Once the salmon is done, let cool for a couple minutes then then assemble all ingredients on the sandwich. |
